The leading social media network, Facebook tested a new page design with a cleaner layout and no more Like button.
This change was inevitable.
Facebook has always tried to build a platform where people from across the world can have more interaction.
With this aim, Like feature was introduced by Facebook.
The like button which was introduced by Facebook in March 2010 to simply show appreciation online has now become the social currency of the decade.
The importance of the number of likes you get on a page plays a very crucial role in today’s time. It is one of the main highlights and imagining a social media platform without one is just impossible to imagine.
The feature which was introduced to help the social networking site collect people’s interest and keep track of the growing trend was never thought to become so influential at one period of time.

Today the number of likes on a page tells us what to pay attention to, where to spend our money, and who to publicly shame.
People today measure their worth based on a number. Users with more likes are believed to be more popular than others.
Also, today it can be counted as one of the judging criteria. Even competitions count the number of likes on a user’s page to weigh talent.
This also had begun to affect the mental health of the people especially teenagers.
People on the basis of the number of likes they got on a post posted by them, often self doubt themselves.
Many people got so anxious they started abstaining from posting anything.
The aim with which these social media websites were launched that is to let people freely express themselves all began to get lost due to this small experimental invention.
Also, many people as a favor began to like pages even when they were not interested in following them.
This often rose confusion among the owners making them difficult to track people who were really interested.
The latest updated feature lets the page owner build a better connection with its followers.

Facebook’s New Experiment-
The new design for the Facebook page will also offer a cleaner and more readable layout.
It makes operating and managing the pages easygoing.
The newly introduced features were initially tested with a small percentage of public figures on the mobile app, but are now being expanded to a broader group of pages.
The update makes navigation to the Page Insights section trouble-free.
The new feature also groups together the important and relevant data so that the page owners don’t have to be bothered about a huge number of notifications coming their way.
Currently, the test is working on the Facebook mobile app and Facebook has not announced when the update will work for everyone.
For now, it is an experiment.
Keep yourself updated with all the new features of Facebook here.
