Lenovo k11 Power Surfaces and just got a new avatar and by that I meant, it got rebranded!
You heard it right!
So let’s begin with a little overview and then we will follow the details.
Lenovo- An Introduction
Lenovo group limited or better known as Lenovo, is an American Chinese multinational technology company that has two headquarters, one in Beijing and another one in Morrisville, North Carolina. The founder of this amazing company is Liu Chungzhi. Lenovo was founded in Beijing in November 1984 as Legend and was incorporated in Hong Kong in 1988.
This company focuses on various electronics such as Personal Computers, Tablets, Smartphones, Workstations, Servers, Electronic storage devices, and what not! It has a good hold on the computer market. Even in the small markets or the industrial area houses, the showrooms of Lenovo and the products are for sale.
The distribution of this company is scattered all over the world, with the principle facilities in Beijing and North Carolina. It also has research centers but they are mostly in China in places like Shanghai, Shenzen, Shenzai, Xiamen, Chengdu, Nanjing, Wuhan, Yamato (In Japan), and of course in Morrisville.
Now as the company entered the market, it acquired IBM’s computer business in the year 2005 and also its intel based server business in the year 2014. In the year 2012, this company entered the smartphone company and became the largest smartphone vendor in the year 2014 for mainland China.
In terms of operations, this company has operated factories in Chengdu and Hefei in China and Japan. A 700-square-meter flagship store was opened in Beijing in February 2013.
One of the most successful products of this company is the ThinkPad laptop series. These laptops are business-oriented and are known for their boxy black design which was inspired by a traditional Japanese lunchbox. Still being an IBM product, they have been manufactured and sold by Lenovo since 2005.
One interesting fact which comes along this product is that they have been the only laptop that was certified for use in the International Space Station.
As far as business in our country is considered, Lenovo has got various and bulk orders from a lot of companies and has gained a grip on the market, in a true sense. The government of Tamil Nadu bought a million laptops from Lenovo in 2012 and made this company as the market leader, single-handedly.
Following a market strategy, Lenovo assembled a team of senior managers familiar with the Indian markets and launched mobile phones at all price points present in the market along with working on branding to build market shares.
Along with the working of the Indian talent, Lenovo claimed that in the year 2014, the selling of smartphones increased to 100% while the whole market was only growing 15-20%. This according to me is a milestone achieved by this company.
Not only this, but Lenovo also made an amazing relationship with Reliance and sold smartphones. The smartphones carried by Reliance have the dual-SIM capability and support both GSM and CDMA. Babu claims that the relative under penetration of smartphones in India represents an opportunity for Lenovo.

Now let’s get back to the main content-
Lenovo K11 power surfaces, up in this article-
Here I present to you the specifications of this newly rebranded phone-
It was launched in the month of April. In terms of processor and power, it is powered by Octa-core (2 GHz, Dual-core, Cortex A75 + 2 GHz, Hexa Core, Cortex A55) and runs on Android 9 and MediaTek Helio P65 Chipset. It has a battery of 4000 mAh
The storage capacity of this phone is 64GB but is expandable with the application of a microSD card. The display of this phone is of the IPS LCD display. The screen has a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and 270 ppi pixel density.
For camera purposes, it has 16 MP Primary Camera and on the rear, there’s a 48+5+2+2 MP camera. The camera features many other features like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, and touch to focus.
The connectivity of this phone features WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Volte, and more.
Guys!
There is a recent update stating that this very company is going to launch the Lenovo Power K11 surfaces, by a different name, which is Moto G8 Power Lite, and it will be featured as Motorola moto g(8) power lite Lenovo K11Power.
The phone has almost the same specifications, including 4GB of RAM and MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. Also, the Lenovo owned Motorola phone has Android 9 and features a 6.5-inch (720×1,600 pixels) IPS LCD display.
This amazing phone is available at the price of INR 9,499 and in two amazing colors i.e. Arctic Blue and Royal Blue.
Some of the positive points which can be seen on this phone are the availability of water repellent design, great battery life, and the android stays clutter-free in usage. Now on the other side of the coin, the cameras struggle to perform well in low light. The display is not that bright and the processor seems a little weak.
As far as it seems to me, this phone won’t be able to compete much as in this particular price range, there are various other devices which are much more compatible and have more storage capacity, that too without application of microSD card.
There are also other benefits that can be spotted in other phones, like the use of a better processor and definitely a brighter display and a better camera.
But let’s see if the name changing game works for this product.
Well as we all know, don’t judge a book by its cover, but here the cover is changed and is definitely gathering attention. All we have to see is how the book is going to perform in the market.
That’s All folks!!
I hope that you find this nugget of information, quite interesting. Now don’t ask me why the name was changed, was it Vastu dosham or what, God knows. But all we know is that company is an old racer and will definitely go to any extent to increase their profits, which to some extent is good as science will get a chance to develop more, but not at the cost of a nation
Since this company is spread all over the world, it is its responsibility to take care of the development and respect democracy, not a monarchy (Hope you get what I mean!)
Let’s all see the Lenovo K11 power surfaces or not!
