Mukesh Ambani is now the sixth richest man in the world, with a net worth of about $72 billion! Kitna paisa hai yar! Shocking!
Now before I get to the original topic, let me first waste some time in briefing you guys about Mukesh Ambani
Mukesh Ambani- A brief Introduction
Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani was born on 19 April 1957. He is nothing but an Indian billionaire business magnate, and the chairman and MD of Reliance Industries. He is currently the richest man in Asia (Wow!)
He was born in the British Colony of Aden which is in present-day Yemen. He didn’t live for long there as his father (Dhirubhai Ambani) decided to move to India with Mukesh’s younger brother and two sisters namely, Anil Ambani and Nina Bhadrashyam Kothari and Dipti Dattaraj Salgaocar respectively.
In India, Mukesh’s father started a small textile business which was later named as “Only Vimal” from “Vimal”. Mukesh used to live in a small apartment in Mumbai, until the 1970s. Later on, Dhirubhai bought a 14-floor apartment in Colaba and the family started living on separate floors.
Mukesh did his college studies from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, and later on, attained a BE Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology. I don’t have his mark sheet (lol!) but he must have been a bright student (or maybe not!).
Ambani embarked on his business journey from the year 1981, where he helped his father in running the family business, the Reliance Industries Limited. Later on, Ambani’s study on Chemical Engineering came into use and the company decided to deal with refineries and petrochemicals.
The company products also include services in retail and telecommunications industries. Reliance Jio, you must have heard it, is among the top 5 in the country’s telecommunication services since it was launched on 5 September (teacher’s day, I don’t know how or why!) in the year 2016.
Some facts-
- Mukesh Ambani married Nita Ambani in 1985. He and his family are now living in Antilla, a 27 storey private residence.
- Antilla is estimated to be up to $1 billion and requires 600 helpers to maintain it.
- Antilla’s specialties include three helipads, a 160 car garage, a private movie theatre, a swimming pool, and a fitness center.
- In the year 2007, when Nita Ambani turned 44, Mukesh Ambani gifted her a $60million Airbus A319, which consists of a living room, bedroom, satellite television, WiFi, Sky Bar, Jacuzzi, and a private office.
- Mukesh Ambani bought the IPL team, Mumbai Indians for a whopping price of $111.9 million in the year 2008, and came to be known as the world’s richest sports team owner.
- He is a strict vegetarian and a teetotaller, still admits that his favorite food is Idli Sambhar.
Well, this shows that he is truly living his life king-size. And why shouldn’t he? He has earned all of this money and he is from my nation!
Very proud of my mother India who give opportunities to young talents like this. And also very proud of Mukesh Ambani whose hard work paid off and he is now among the top 10 richest people.
The big news-
If we follow Bloomberg’s billionaire’s index (BBI), Mukesh Ambani is at the sixth position of the list of billionaires. He has beaten the Co-founder of Alphabet, Larry Page.
Ambani’s real-time worth has increased from $2.17 billion to $72.4 billion. This is a great milestone achieved and all of this is because of the Reliance industry performing so well!
Ambani who used to be and is the richest man in Asia is almost there to be among the top 5 rich men in the world, the elite club!
RIL has seen itself transform from an energy producer to a consumer company. The value of this company has risen to INR 12 Lakh Crore!
It may be noted that Ambani has added almost $7.9 billion to his fortune over the past 22 days due to a sharp rally in Reliance’s shares.
Dude, this guy is bathing in money!!
Tre’s Bien!!
In my opinion-
To the new readers, let me tell that in almost every article, I have this little column in which I share my views with my readers and encourage them to read and al share their opinions with me or with the world in general.
Now, I read about this news and felt proud of this guy. As I added previously also, his hard work has paid off!
But, my major concern is that I have seen that in this nation, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. I don’t like this non-uniform distribution of money among the citizen. I get upset on seeing always to see the rich ignoring the poor and when it comes to votes or something, then they suddenly become a messiah for them.
In my opinion, wealth should be equally distributed among everyone, and everyone should be rich or at least, should be able to get two square meals for his family, easily.
Let’s not blame the rich entirely, even the poor are also very cunning and smart! They would prefer to stay poor only despite the money aid provided to them by the government. The poor would get money from the sympathy they earn from the onlookers.
This usually gets on my nerves. Why display such predicament, when you are so fortunate? Why be so helpless when you are getting all the help you can get?
This habit should also change. But then it comes to my mind, there are so many things to be changed. Maybe that’s why nobody even wants to take any initiative.
But an initiative is required and is very necessary. We must learn only one mantra and that is, Sharing is caring. And you will see that soon our country will proceed towards development and this probably will prove to be the best investment we can ever do for our country’s upliftment. The investment towards humanity is probably the best deed that could be performed.
So let’s all stay honest to ourselves and let’s lend a helping hand to our nation. Let’s all be kind and gentle towards the world in general. I am not saying that everything should only be good, No! Everything would become so boring! I am just saying that we shall maintain a balance between the good and bad.
Let me tell you a secret! The unprecedented times under which we are going through are just a result of our Karma! We must take care of our karma. As the saying goes, What you sow, shall you reap!
That’s all folks!
Thanks for tolerating me;)
