Audi India has stated that it’s next launch for India is the RS7 Sportback. Bookings for the upcoming sports coupe are open for a token amount of Rs 10 lakh. The upcoming 4-door coupe will be powered by a massive 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that develops 600PS and 800Nm. It does the 0-100kmph run in 3.6 seconds and maxes out at an electronically limited 250kmph. This motor also comes with a 48v mild-hybrid system which packs in functions like torque boost. 

 

Other highlights include large 21-inch alloy wheels, dual exhausts, and blacked-out exterior elements which give it a sporty appearance. Inside, it comes with Audi’s twin-screen setup, sports seats and Alcantara upholstery. 

 

The 2020 Audi RS7 Sportback is expected to be priced northwards of Rs 1.50 crore (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the BMW M8 and Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4 Door.

The new Audi RS7 Performance is the more powerful version of the sports car available in four door coupe body style. Compared to the standard model, the RS7 Performance weighs 15% lighter courtesy use of over 20% aluminium components in the coupe. For power generation, it uses the same 4.0 litre TFSI turbocharged petrol engine churning out massive power and torque. As for the transmission option, it gets the eight-speed automatic transmission and drive is sent to all four wheels through Audi’s Quattro AWD system.

 

Priced at Rs 1.59 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), RS7 Performance coupe is a powerful derivative of RS7 sports car that brings together performance and style. Borrowing the high-capacity 4.0 litre petrol engine from the standard model, it offers 44bhp of more power taking the total output to 596bhp between 6100 to 6800rpm. Linked to an 8-speed tiptronic automatic transmission the engine churns out peak torque of 700Nm between 1750 to 6000rpm and drive is sent to all four wheel via the Quattro system. Use of aluminium components in the construction has slashed the body weight significantly aiding improved performance. That said the coupe achieves 100km/h mark from rest within 3.7 seconds and offers electronically controlled top speed of 280km/h that can be exceeded to 305km/h. Additions are also made to the exterior with new elements adoring the coupe and it packs new tech as well.
