How to adopt a healthy lifestyle and increase productivity in COVID-19 lockdown?

I am no motivational speaker or writer, But I know one thing from my life’s experiences and encounters with unique people that ‘No one can ever be late to start fresh or bring about a positive change their lifestyle. Start from today or start just this minute. It really is never late. Start with at-least one change and increase gradually. A single step is enough to trigger your conscience and provide motivation towards leading a healthy lifestyle and increase productivity.
  1. Planning – Nothing is achieved when you do not plan and schedule your day. Write it all down. Set alarms and reminders too.
  2. The most important tip of all time is what we all know. The sleeping schedule. The ideal sleep time is from 8pm to 5am. Human body needs 8 hours of sleep per day. We can shift our timings gradually, because sudden changes are never to be expected. You yourself will automatically feel positive and motivated throughout the day. You will have a lot of time to carry out many productive activities.
  3. The next thing is healthy eating. Plan your diet according to per day meal and calorie intake. Read the food tables and keep a note of it. Pre-decide meals for the next day. Drinking the right amount of water releases half the problems of health. 8 glasses is the minimum amount of water to drink per day.
  4. Healthy eating is always effective with a bit of physical work. You can not expect timely results without it. Even a 40 minute medium paced walk does the deed. And Yoga is the best of all. At least try Surya namaskaar and Pranayaam.
  5. Do your work yourself when you are free. Like cleaning, organizing and cooking. Start with light meals and chores. It pleases the mind. Keeping your surroundings clean opens up your mind.

covid-19 lockdown and healthy lifestyle- meditationAmid covid-19 outbreak everyone’s been a little disturbed, along with that there has been a lot of challenges faced by the people. Along with physical well being one’s mental well being is also important. If mental health is good that means  human is 80% healthy. People are not only fighting with the virus but with there own thoughts, depression, anxiety, etc., and to fight with this we have to help ourselves and stay strong.

We have collected some of the proven and tested methods you can follow to take your mental health to a positive approach in this pandemic :

  1. Start Meditating:  Meditation might sound you boring and not much of a fun but believe me it can do miracles in your life and to your mental health. You can start by just 2 minutes meditation and can go further with 10-15 minutes a day. While meditating the only thing you have to do is  sit in a clean space, breathe in and out while in the process. Meditating will help you calm your thoughts, mind. You can simply chant “om” to focus.
  2. Pen down your thoughts: Writing down your thoughts will help let your negative thoughts go away instead of being stuck to your mind and help you in procrastinate more. You don’t need a fancy diary for the same you can just go your phone’s notes section and can write in that and then can move into private section for privacy.
  3. Talk to your close one’s: Communicating always helps. Sometimes you don’t want to heard but listened to and your trustworthy people might listen to you. Talking to your people can help you become more  free of demotivating thoughts and might help you in dealing with your thoughts.
  4. Take a  digital detox:   Social media can be fake and sometimes make you feel that you are not enough. But that’s not true, you are also winning in your life, don’t let these things make you feel less worthy. Digital detox of few days will help you feel stable and gratuities about things you have in your life and still haven’t took a look at it. Detox might be difficult for you for first few days but it will improve day by day.
  5. Engage in a hobby: Do you like to paint or dance or doodle or sing or make random videos or read ? Well, lockdown is the best time where you can engage in your hobbies and start to discover yourself. One can’t only discover himself by travelling but also through digging into the random things. Engaging yourself with something you like, something you enjoy doing can also help in improving your mental health.
  6. Seek a good medical health: If you are having suicidal thoughts, or self destruction thoughts, it is considered something serious. We would recommend you to seek medical health, if needed. Don’t let your thoughts control you and engage in something which you might regret later on. Think and act.
