Suresh Raina appointed as brand ambassador, as PM lauds the aggressive batsman via letter

Suresh Raina who announced his retirement from International Cricket gets opted as BharatPe’s brand ambassador.

Suresh Raina who is a great ambassador of Cricket is appointed as the brand ambassador for BhararPe. He himself upload the promotional video of the shoot on his social media account.

Earlier in the month of March, the company had signed 11-star players like Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, Suresh Raina, Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, Sanju Samson, Mohammed Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Shubhman Gill.

Due to Covid-19 breakout in India, BharatPe firm could not do much for shoots and promotions.

PM Modi writes a letter to Suresh Raina says, “you are too young to retire.”

PM Modi wrote: “Your compassion for the game I’m brilliant. You have just lived and breathed cricket. You have lived and breathed cricket for your entire career. Your interest in the sport began very early in life, in the by-lanes of Muradnagar and subsequently found feet in the playgrounds of Lucknow. There on, what an eventful journey it has been, culminating in the most important honour of representing India – a country you love so much and you are ready to do anything for it. Representing it in all three formats is really a great honour .”PM Modi further appreciated the brilliance in the fielding department after acknowledging the bat and ball brilliance.

“Generations will remember you not only as a fine batsman who scored quick runs but also as a handy bowler who the captain could turn to when the situation demanded. Your fielding was exemplary and inspiring. Some of the best catches in recent international cricket have your impression at a different level. Also, the number of runs you have saved by your brilliant alertness will take us a number of days to count the total runs,” the letter read.

“As a batsman, you especially adopted unique techniques across all three formats. But you adapted very well to the newest format i.e. T-20 Cricket really well and created many records. This is not an easy format. T-20 cricket requires a lot of hard work and quick-fires and you have managed it really well. Again, your great fitness and pace were the key assets in this,” he further added.

Reminiscing the 2011 World Cup and Suresh Raina’s “inspiring” role during the tournament, the Prime Minister said, “India can never forget your inspiring role during the 2011 World Cup, especially during the later matches. I saw you live in action at the Motera Stadium, Ahmedabad, during the Quarter Final against Australia. Your brilliant inning played a massive role in team’s victory. Your covers drives were very elegant. Your fans will definitely miss them. I was lucky to witness them during your career.”

PM Modi further said “Raina will always be synonymous with the team spirit” and wished him for his post-retirement innings to be joyful.

Suresh Raina was one the world’s best fielder as Jhonty  Rhodes had also admired his brilliance and a useful bowler who can give 3-4 overs on any given day to his captain, Raina represented India in 18 Tests, 226 ODIs, and 78 T20Is in an international career spanning 13 years.
