Early Days:
Trent Boult was born on 22 July 1989 in Rotorua. He grew up in Ohope and Tauranga and was educated at Otumoetai College later. Boult had that raw pace for which many bowlers crave. He decided that he will be a quicky as soon as he joined the game.
Boult showed the signs of his skills very early in life when he was 17-year old, he got named the fastest secondary school bowler in the country. He the pace and movement in the air which left batsman clueless.
The next year, Trent Boult was already representing the country in the Under-19 World Cup. Trent Boult has a beautiful love-story with seven wickets.
Trent Boult picked up 7 wickets in a U-19 game against Malaysia where he bundled up the entire team for just 47 inside 19 overs. Boult was awarded MOM award for his fierce performance. Boult kept on being an integral part of the team for the entire U-19 World Cup.
Trent Boult picked up wickets at the crucial moments and thus he was the reason for New Zealand’s success in the U-19 World Cup 2008.

International Career:
Soon after a successful U-19 World Cup campaign, Boult was in the radar of selectors.
Boult made his Test debut against Australia on 9 December 2011. He took a total of 4 wickets in the two innings.
Initially, it was believed that he could not swing the white as well as the red ball, but his performance in the longer format forced his debut in the ODI format as well.
He made his ODI debut against West Indies on July 11, 2012, and took 2 wickets in the match.
His T20I debut was made a year later against England in which he took two wickets again.
Boult continued his gameplan of quick pace in the International setup as well. Boult rose to prominence quite early in his career. Just in his 29th test match, he got past the 100 wickets mark.
Trent’s been highly rated by former New Zealand great Sir Richard Hadlee, who thinks he’s one of the best new-ball bowlers the Kiwis have ever had. He formed one half of the deadly duo with good friend Tim Southee, a pair which was the focal point of many wins they achieved.
Two years since his debut, he was New Zealand’s highest wicket-taker in the longest format of the game. With the exit of senior players like Daniel Vettori, Shane Bond, Jacob Oram and many others the responsibility of bowler department for the KIWIs was handed over to Boult alongside Southee.
Trent Boult was leading wicket-taker in WC-2015 were he picked up 22 scalps including a fifer against the champions (Australia). He has been a consistent part of the bowling line up since then.
In World Cup 2019 also Boult continued his form as he bagged 17 wickets in the tournament and was leading the KIWI bowling attack from the front.

IPL Stint:
Boult made his IPL debut for SRH in the year 2015. A team which now has a brilliant bowling department was dependent on Bowler for the season. Trent Boult has also produced some vital performances for KKR but his performances for Delhi Capitals have been impressive.
Trent Boult has been slightly expensive but his wicket-taking ability attracts the eyes of the franchises.
Trent Boult pulled off a stunner on the boundary line which stunned everyone.
