Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 pro launch:
The wait is finally about to end with Vivo launching its X50 series in India from two days from now, i.e on 16th July 2020 at noon (12 pm IST).
CEO of Vivo India Jerome Chan announced the official date of the launch of its ‘revolutionary smartphone’ on twitter on 13th July 2020.
The smartphone series which is going to leap into the future of smartphone cameras started speculations in the technology industry with its initial news of launch on Jul 1, 2020, in India. (#comingsoon)
The smartphone, which was launched on June 1, 2020, in its home country China, is now set to give India a chance to ‘Xplore brighter and clearer world’. According to a report by GSMArena, the camera-centric phone will sell on the e-commerce portal Flipkart and Amazon in India.
Here are some key features of the X50 series that will help you ‘redefine your perspective’-
Vivo X50 pro-
The X50 Pro sports a 6.56-inch FHD+ OLED curved panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and a tiny punch-hole cutout for the 32MP front camera. Besides its 32MP front camera, it has a quad rear camera setup, which is going to redefine the basics of photography for you.
Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 765G chipset with an integrated 5G modem. It has a 4,315 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
This dual sim device is equipped with a light and proximity sensor. It runs Google’s latest Android 10 operating system.
Vivo X50-
The Vivo X50 sports similar specifications to its ‘Pro’ counterpart with a few differences. Although it has a smaller 4,200 mAh battery, it also comes equipped with a flat OLED panel, and regular OIS instead of gimbal stabilization.
Sporting a 6.56-inch full HD+ AMOLED screen, it has a resolution of 2,376×1080 pixels.
It has a quad-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 48MP primary sensor paired with a 13MP portrait camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro lens with the back camera module having features like 20x digital zoom, four-axis OIS, EIS, and more. On the front, it features a 32MP sensor for taking selfies.

With the camera department as its main highlight, the Vivo X50 series will support improved night photography, videos, and 60x Hyper Zoom and run FunTouch OS based on Android 10.
It will not be the chipset that will attract the masses but the quad rear camera setup in its sleek design.
The only difference in the two revolutionary devices being the quad rear camera setup, Vivo X50 having 8MP ultra-wide sensor whereas VivoX50 sporting 13 MP ultra-wide sensor.
Expected Price-
Vivo X50 ,priced Yuan 2,498 (approximately Rs 37,000) for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant and at Yuan 3,898 (approximately Rs 41,000) for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant and Vivo X50 Pro priced at Yuan 4,298 (approximately Rs 45,500) for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant and Yuan 4,698 (approximately Rs 49,500) are expected to have a lower price in India.
With Oneplus launching its new model Oneplus Nord on 21st July 2020, The X50 series heats the competition by providing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G. With Snapdragon 765G, both the smartphones become the first onslaught of phones with a premium mid-tier chip in India.
Vivo, all geared to launch its X50 series( Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 pro), in India, is going to keep X50pro plus exclusive to China for now.
With the launch of its X50 series, Vivo will open up a new segment of premium smartphones powered by mid-range processors and camera innovations.
