Introduction
Waste to wonder park is situated in Delhi and is a Theme park. The park has been adorned with seven wonders of the world. All are the replica of the original architecture. It’s a contemporary and picturesque place in a lively and bustling city. All the architecture is magnificent and remarkable.
The structures have been constructed with the superfluous scrap materials and excess waste but have been designed in an exceptionally beautiful way. That defines the meaning of Waste to wonder.
About
The structures are made up of 150,000 construction and demolition waste, industrial waste(slag, sludge), biodegradable wastes. Everything there has been build with not more than 100 artists and craftsmen and helpers. It has been built in tenure of six months with an expenditure of 75,000,000 million.
The place is spread within 7 acres of land and was inaugurated on 21st February 2020 in New Delhi. It’s the world’s first place where the wonders have been constructed from a self-sustainable material and are located in the capital city of India.
The seven wonders of the world that are structured at the place are The Taj Mahal, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Christ the Redeemer Statue of Rio DE Janeiro, Statue of Liberty, Amphitheatre Colosseum from Rome, Eiffel tower of Paris, and the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Leaning Tower of Pisa- Cloned version
The leaning tower of Pisa, located in the Italian city of Pisa. Gigantic and wonderful architecture from the 12th century. It is 183.27 feet high from the ground and is tilted by 5.5 degrees. The tower has seven floors and 296 steps. The foundation of the tower is flawed and the monument is tilted, even survives earthquakes and this feature makes this unique and phenomenal.
The cloned structure at Waste to wonder is 39 feet high and has been made from 10.5 tonnes of waste. Metal sheets have been used to shape the diamond designs and pipes to form the pillars.
2. Replica of Taj Mahal
The replica of the Taj mahal at Waste to wonder is made up of 30 tonnes of waste and with the help of 24 laborers. 1600 cycle rings, park benches, truck springs, and sheets have been used for creating the metal structure. To design the windows truck sheet have been used and benches for the doors. During the evening the place shows fascinating lighting.
3. Replica of The Amphitheater Colosseum from Rome

The Colosseum was a famous and large Amphitheater which is situated in Rome, Italy. It was used to host events and performances for public entertainment. The foundations of the Amphitheater was laid during the reign of Flavian Emperor. Due to several earthquakes, the monument got damaged. But is a huge attraction point for the tourists and is popular across the globe. The architecture is in the heart of Rome.

Taking inspiration replica has been built by the SDMC Delhi which is 16 ft and 6 inches high using seven tonnes of waste. The materials used for creating this were scrap metal, car wheels, spare parts of automobiles, etc. These things were modified using advanced laser cut technologies and artisans.
4. Eiffel Tower of Paris- Replica installed at Delhi
Facts about Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is the tallest and ancient Architecture located in Paris. The tower is 1,063 feet(324 meters)high and the first podium is at a height of 190 meters. The tower demonstrates metal could be stronger than stones while being lighter. There are 5 billion lights and the evening sightseeing looks phenomenal. Also since the tower is made up of metal it raises by 6 inches due to expansion.
Features of Replica
The replica of the Eiffel tower is 80 feet tall and probably the tallest monuments at the Waste to wonder park. Forty tonnes of waste has been used in construction. These were C channels, angles, petrol tanks of the truck, scrap metals, and other metal waste. There are three floors and lights have been installed which increase its beauty and it looks perfect in the evening.

5. Brazil’s Christ the Redeemer
The replica of the monument installed at Waste to wonder the park is approx. 25 feet high and approximately 4 to 5 tonnes of waste have been used. To create the platform of the structure square pipes from the benches have been used. Hair and hands have been created using chains of motorbikes and engine parts respectively.
6. Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty is approximately 35 feet high and has been created using 7-8 tonnes of waste. The pedestal has been created using metal railings and angles to make it look brick-like. MCD’S scrap yards have been used. To create the rings car rims were used and hair has been made using bicycle chains.
7. Replica of The Great Pyramid of Giza
The replica of the Great Pyramid of Giza is 18 feet high and is made up of 10-12 tonnes of waste. It has been created using scrap angles and other recycled waste.
The real monument is magnificent, and the oldest among all the 7 wonders of the world.
Features and Facts
The place welcomes all visitors and travelers and this might increase the tourist trade. It has installed solar panels, It has three windmills(approx 1 KW), and solar trees. The place has installed sustainable technologies to meet its electricity requirements.
Even the washrooms have been created innovatively with shipwrecks and containers. The park is eco-friendly.
Events
Various events have been planned for the theme Waste to wonder park for the weekends. Some of them were musical performances(Ghazals), stand-up comedy shows, puppet shows, magic shows, sound and light shows.
The tickets sold range from 500-5,000 per day and during weekends it accounts for more than 10,000 visits.
Near the place within a radius of 5 kilometers, many hotels are located. You may find restaurants on your way. Parkings are still not developed. But is located in the crowded and center of the city. You may enjoy the evenings of the place and visit with your family.
Entry Charges and Timings of Waste to wonder park:
Entry charges are based on age.
-For 0-3 years and 65&above entry is free(No charges)
-For 4- 12 years, entry charges are rs 25
-For 13 – 64 years, entry charges are Rs 50
You may buy and book the tickets online as per your convenience and schedule. For the MCD school students, entry is free.
The timings for visiting the site are from 11 am to 11 pm. The average duration to visit the place is 30 – 45 minutes. It’s a unique place and worth visiting. The site will remain closed on Mondays and National Holidays.
