1. Kahaani:
This Mystery-thriller is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. Kahaani was directed by Sujoy Ghosh, one of the most eminent directors of this industry. It consists of a star cast of Vidya Balan, Parambrata Chatterjee, Nawazudin Siddique, Indraneil Sengupta, and Saswata Chatterjee.
This film revolves around the time, a pregnant lady, played by Vidya Balan aka Vidya Bagchi goes around searching for her missing husband in Kolkata, during the festival of Durga Pooja, assisted by Satyoki “Rana” Sinha (Parambrata Chatterjee) and Khan (Nawazuddin Siddique) only to find out that there is more than meets the eye.
This film fetched about INR1.4 billion and is surely loved by the audience.
2. Mom:
This not just another one of Sridevi special, it is a masterpiece! It is the last of the hit movies done by this very favourite actress of Bollywood. This crime thriller is directed by Ravi Udyawar and stars, Sridevi, Nawazuddin Siddique, Akshay Khanna, and a Pakistani actor, Adnaan Siddique in supporting roles. It was released on 7 July 2017.
Mom is a story about a dedicated mother who can go to any extent to get justice for her stepdaughter, even if she has to murder those who raped her daughter. She takes the role of a vigilante and performs the tasks in such a neat and amazing way, that the audience is forced to let out a gasp!
Amongst this whole list, this movie is my personal favourite and I strongly recommend watching this IMDb 8/10 rated movie.

3. War:
This action/thriller was directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra under his banner Yash Raj Films. It stars a wonderful cast of Rithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor.
In this film, Rithik Roshan aka Kabeer goes rogue and works against his secret team under the RAW which used to lead top-secret missions. His student, Khalid (Tiger Shroff) is determined to find him and bring him back or best, just shoot him dead!
Kabeer chases a most wanted terrorist, Rizwan Iliyasi, but instead ends up having a duel with Khalid in between. This movie is full of twists and turns which I would not like to spoil in this article for you. I would recommend you to watch it at your pleasure!

4. Mardaani 2:
It has made a hashtag, #She Is back very famous, and also comes with a clear tagline that why should the age of a rapist matter at all? This tagline gives a serious persona of this movie and what exactly it is about.
This movie was directed by Gopi Puthram and has Rani Mukherjee as the lead actress. This movie is about a psychopath namely Sunny who brutally murders women and leaves a trail of dead bodies behind. SP Shivani Shivaji Roy is determined to catch him before he creates any more trouble
This sequel to the movie Mardaani was released on 13 December 2019.
5. Article 15:
This amazing piece of art was written, produced, and directed by Anubhav Sinha, titled “Article 15, Ab Farq Laayenge” and consists of the cast including Ayushmann Khurana, Nasser, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta Veen Harsh, and Sumbul Touqeer.
The film deals with Article 15 of the Constitution of India, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. This film is inspired by, multiple true-life based events, which includes the 2014 Badaun gang-rape allegations, and 2016 Una flogging incident.

Batla House is among the Hindi thriller movies, which is directed by Nikkhil Advani. His character, Sanjay Kumar, is inspired by Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, the police officer who played a crucial role in the encounter.

This action thriller was released on 29 November 2019 and is directed by Aditya Datt. This movie is a sequel and the third instalment of the Commando series starring the best Bollywood action hero, Vidyut Jamwal.
This movie stars Vidyut Jamwal, Adah Sharma, and Angira Dhar with Gulshan Devaiah.
In this movie, Jammwal reprises his role as the commando Karan, who goes undercover with encounter specialist Bhavana Reddy for an anti-terrorist mission in London. The protagonist’s name is inspired by Karan Singh, the Dogra Dynasty ex crown prince of J and K.
A commercial success, it became the highest-grossing film in the commando film series.

This is the movie whose ending just bounced off most people’s heads. Released on 5 October 2015 and directed by Sriram Raghvan, this is an amazing movie! It stars Ayushmann Khurana, Tabu, and Radhika Apte.
Etymologically, the title of this movie means verbatim for Blind Tune where “Andha” means blind and “dhun” means tune. The movie revolves around a blind man (or maybe not blind!) who carries out a small social experiment and spends his life in acting that he is blind. But a sudden turn of events, cause him to become blind in real and he later on somehow escapes that situation.

9. Satyamev Jayate:
This is a Hindi vigilante movie which is directed by Milap Milan Zaveri. It was released on 15 August 2018. It has a cast of John Abraham, Manoj Bajpayee, Aisha Sharma, and Amruta khanvilkar.
John is cast by the name of Veer and he carries out an operation to finish out the corruption in the police department. He starts killing police officers and fulfils his mission of “Satyamev Jayate” in which all the letters represent the first letter of every corrupt officer.
This movie is with a very strong message of not engaging with corruption as karma can bite back.
10. Drishyam:
This movie is a remake of a Malayalam film with the same name. This (Hindi) movie stars Ajay Devgan, Tabu, and Shriya Saran and also features Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav. This drama-thriller is directed by Nishikant Kamat. This film was jointly produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Ajit Andhare, and Abhishek Pathak.
It was released on 31 July 2015 and received overwhelming reviews from critics. It grossed ₹93.85 crores in India and a worldwide total of ₹111.05 crores worldwide against a budget of ₹48 crores.
This movie revolves around Vijay Salgaonkar’s family who is an orphan and dropped out of school. He leaves no stone unturned to shield his family when a policewomen’s son threatens to ruin Vijay’s family.

Conclusion:
Most of the movies listed here are the remakes of some south Indian movies. It took me a great deal of time to you know, make this list as there were only South Indian movies available as Bollywood thriller movies.
I don’t think that is a bad practice, but still, it shows that Bollywood lacks creativity, or maybe have started lacking in it from now on.
Maybe the movies of other divisions of Bollywood must be good, but this division is certainly not up to the mark and requires a 100 point restoration.
