Elon Musk finally answers questions related to the Brain-machine Interface, made by his Brain Tech company, Neuralink in the form of a Brain chip implant to be implanted inside the Brain. He recently mentioned that the Brain Chip can enable us to play music inside our head. Neuralink, was launched in 2016 by Elon Musk as an ‘Ultra-high bandwidth Brain-machine interface’ Artifical Intelligence to help with the Human Brain functions.
In 2019, Neuralink released a Preprint with additional scientific details on the device in August 2019 and animal trials were carried out on Monkeys and Rats. The Article lead to a great amount of speculation among Brain tech and AI enthusiasts and other scientists and engineers. On 9th July 2020, Elon musk announced that Neuralink is going to share their progress update on the BMI or the brain chip on August 28, 2020. After the success on the animal trials, the Human trails were to begin late this year. He recently answered several questions related to the chip asked by the people on the social media.
The main priority of the Brain chip implant is set to helping with dire brain injuries.

Musk hinted that Neuralink Brain chip implant might also help with depression and addiction through retraining the brain with the help of the AI implant.

The Brain Chip is also said to help with Human learning and skill enhancements. He hinted that it could help in human advantage through enhanced skills, abilities and reasoning, anxiety relief, etc.

Musk claimed that the Brain-Machine Interface will help people listen to music from the Brain chip implant inside their head. A computer scientist Austin Howard asked him on twitter if he could confirm that Neuralink’s Brain chip A.I. would allow people to listen to music straight from the chip, Musk responded with a simple, “Yes.”

How will the Brain chip work?
Elon Musk presented the Brain Chip, it’s working and explained the benefits of it last year in August.
- There are flexible threads, thinner than a human hair, to be fixed into the brain to detect neuron activity.
- A robot that uses a 24-micron needle to embed them automatically.
- A sensor that will be implanted into the body to amplify and read the signals and send them to a receiver.
- The data to be transmitted through wired connection.
