BCCI to arrange farewell game for legendary Jersey No.7

The Indian Board of Cricket(BCCI) is planning to host a farewell for the Legend of the game MS Dhoni who announced his retirement on 15th August via a post.

MS Dhoni who said goodbye to International Cricket on 15th August has been in news since then he has been in news.

A senior BCCI official said the board will address Dhoni, during the forthcoming version of the Indian Premier League, and plan likewise.

“There are no fixtures at the present time, perhaps after IPL, we will perceive what should be possible on the grounds that Dhoni has done a great deal for the country and he deserves all the respect. We always wished to have a farewell game for Dhoni but we all know what kind of player he is. His retirement decision came at the time when no one was thinking of it,” the official said.

Further, when the interrogation of any word with Dhoni came, the official said, “No, but surely we will speak to him during the IPL and that would be the correct platform to get his point of view about a match or series. Also, we will arrange a felicitation Ceremony whether he agrees for it or not.”

Also, Madan Lal felt that a proper felicitation game must be organized for the wicketkeeper who carried to the burden of the nation for so many reasons relentlessly. He said, ” It would be very joyful if BCCI arranges a farewell game for MS Dhoni. He is a legendary player and you can’t let him go just like that. His fans are eagerly waiting to see him in action.

“IPL is happening in UAE but that won’t stop his fans from watching him, they would get stuck to their television sets to watch him play. But the board must also consider hosting a series in India (obviously after this pandemic gets over),” he further added.

Earlier the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren had arranged a game for MS. Soren had also initiated an appeal to BCCI, saying that Jharkhand would be the host for MS Dhoni’s last game.

Dhoni is currently busying preparing himself for Chennai Super Kings IPL 2020 campaign. He flew with the team on 20 August to Dubai for IPL which is beginning from 19 September.

Dhoni first time showed his magic WT-20  where BCCI appointed him as the captain for the first time.

Since then, MS Dhoni has proved himself as the captain for the BCCI governed Indian Cricket Team. He has won every ICC  trophy for the national team within 7 years of appointment.

MS Dhoni also proved himself as the best batsman for the Indian team as he scored runs in ODI cricket all around the globe.

It would be a joy to watch MS Dhoni bat again and finish things off in his style for the Indian Cricket for all his fans and the cricketing world.
